Evaluation
to the “Mission to Mars” website:
According to the feedback above, my website has surely
exceeded the client’s needs. The user can navigate different pages via
navigation bar. A live page background (Spaceman) accompanied by the soothing
music (Interstellar Theme) from the music mini player. There were also certain
animations and gif images which made the page look appealing. I chose the video
instead of typing the information in because it would summarize the entire thing
and it would be easier for the user to understand. The use of an accordion,
which is a stacked list of items, was to organize the information. The strip
background at the bottom of the page caught the eye of the user since it had a
live page background. You could also navigate through the pages by clicking the
arrow. Different buttons had various frames and were organized in a brainstorm
phrase. They were also hyperlinked to different websites such as Mars One, The
Guardian, etc.
However, they were few implications with the product. The
user wanted to know more about the Mars mission so he asked me whether you included
this feature or not. However, I did not include this feature in my website. Some
pages had an opaque color which blocked the live page background. The client
also mentioned that a carousel (cycles through different elements (pictures).)
could be added to make it look more pleasant.
Improvements:

Add a feature where the author can be contacted via
message.

Include a carousel where the user can cycle through
different elements.

Use transparent/translucent page colors so that the
live page background can be seen.
·
Include social websites (Twitter, Facebook, etc.)
where people can share this information.
·
Use more advanced features (Jumbotron, Wells,
Glyphicons, etc.) and explore the HTML Box more to use those features.
